Wrap Around Provision (breakfast and after school club) – exciting changes for the new academic year
We are making some changes to the way we run our Wrap Around Provision. It will now be planned and managed between ourselves and Rattle and Roll Performance.
Familiar faces from our school wrap around teams will be working each morning and evening together with Darcie from Rattle and Roll who will be at the clubs Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays after school. Lots of you will know Darcie from the very popular Summer Holiday Clubs that have run over the Summer.
The main changes will be around the structure and variety of activities on offer. Rattle and Roll have provided detailed planning for each session.
Each morning and afternoon the sessions will include carefully activities to engage and inspire the children, in age specific groups.
The older children will enjoy their own space, activities and staff members whilst the younger children will have their sessions in the currently used pre-school building.
Outside space will be utilised as much as possible.
Wraparound childcare is now available at St. Peter’s during term time Monday-Friday, from 7.30am* until 6pm (*new earlier time due to parents’ feedback).
Examples of new activities to be included:
· HIIT (high intensity interval training) sessions
· Other sporting activities
. Craft – including hamma beads, stickers, chalk, mindful colouring, origami etc
· Cosy corner – beanbags, books etc
· Twice monthly Film Fridays!
All bookings for breakfast club and afterschool club are made through Rattle & Roll’s online system. Payment can be made via direct debit (to be set up when you register) or via childcare vouchers (they accept all childcare vouchers).
The system offers flexibility to book an entire term or individual ad-hoc sessions. Payments will be due monthly in arrears. At the end of each month you will receive an email from Rattle and Roll confirming which sessions you have booked and the total amount you are due to pay. This will then be collected via direct debit or you will need to transfer childcare vouchers for this amount to their account. Please note payments are not accepted through the school office.
Each day school will have access to the latest register for those booked onto breakfast and after school club. All personal, contact and medical details will be stored online too.
For safeguarding reasons, we can only accept children at breakfast club and afterschool club that are registered through this system.
In the event of any whole year groups having to self-isolate due to COVID, all bookings for breakfast club and after school club will be cancelled by Rattle and Roll for the period of self-isolation. The 72 hour cancellation period will NOT apply in this situation. These sessions will not appear on your wrap-around statement.
If you have any questions about Wrap Around please contact Rattle and Roll directly on email@example.com, or call the dedicated helpline on 07722 014301 that runs 9am-6pm.
Children are provided with breakfast and a drink, if required, at Breakfast Club, and a drink and small snack during the After School Club, at around 3.45 pm. We aim to provide a variety of snacks reflecting and including health, dietary requirements and cultural diversity, however it is not a replacement for a full meal.
