Table Tennis

Table Tennis coaching is offered through Zenith Sports, before school and after school, in the hall. Please email the provider for information and how to book: jason@zenithsports.co.uk

Archery

For years 3-6, archery club is run by Mr Tomlinson and Mrs Morrell on a Monday after school in the hall.

Basketball

Starting 12th May for KS1 children through ACE Sports Coaching on a Thursday after school! 

Cross Country

The club is run by Amanda Hardy and held on Butts Field on a Friday lunchtime. Competition practice is held Tuesday after school with Mrs Hardy, Miss Fisher and Mrs Archer Dytch by invitation.

Congratulations to both St Peter's girls and boys teams for their winning success in the Nottinghamshire Schools 2021 Cross Country Winter League meetings! 

A very well done to all runners competing in the  February 2022 Nottingham High Junior School Cross Country Competition - U11 boys winners and U11 girls winners! smiley

Year 3-6 children are currently preparing for the Carnarvon Cross Country Event which will be held on May 24th.

Football

For Years 3-6, children are coached on Butts Field by coaches from Zenith Sports. Sessions are held on Wednesday and Thursday lunchtimes. Football boots (no metal studs) and shin pads must be worn please.

Mr Maynard organises inter-school competitions - well done to the 2021/2022 teams for a terrific season! The Boys' Team scoring 46 goals (conceding only 1) to finish top of the Gedling School's Football League and the Girls' Team winning 3 of their 5 matches smiley

Handball

For years 3-6, handball takes place on a Thursday after school and is run by qualified coaches from Zenith Sports. Sessions take place in the school hall. 

Hockey

Hockey training is held Friday after school at Toot Hill on the astro pitch for years 3-6 during the autumn and spring terms, coached by Mrs Atkinson. We ask that parents/carers collect the children as normal from the school playground and make their own arrangements to travel to Bingham.

Lacrosse

At St Peter's we have a long tradition of playing and competing at a high level of pop lacrosse. Children can experience lacrosse in both PE lessons, lunchtime club with Mrs Marston and at a higher level. 

Multi-Sports

Run by Ace Sports Coaching, open to KS1. Children will work on key skills to improve their confidence, coordination, fitness and understanding of the sport. Each week there will be a different sport to focus on including basketball, tennis, football and cricket. Sign up here for the summer 1 term. 

Netball

Netball club with Miss Walton for children in years 5 and 6! This takes place on a Monday after school on the playground, after February half term and during the summer term.

Rounders

Taken by Mrs Marston for UKS2 children on a Tuesday lunchtime, during the summer term. 

Safety

Swimming

Subsidised swimming lessons are offered to children in Years 5&6 who may benefit from coaching in order to meet the National Standards in Water Safety, before leaving Primary School. This takes place over 5 weekly sessions, in the spring term. 

Tennis

Lunchtime tennis coaching is available for Years 1 - 6 and run by i2c, held on the Butts Field tennis courts.

We are proud to have been awarded the GOLD School Games Award for 4 years running. This is thanks to all the staff, coaches and pupils who have attended festivals, competitions and led PE initiatives within the school.
