    Clubs and Activities

We love to keep our children active and to promote hobbies and interests! We offer a wide range of lunchtime and after-school clubs to give children the chance to explore new interests, build skills, and have fun with friends. Our activities may vary each half-term depending on factors such as pupil interest, club popularity, hall availability, and the weather!

To sign up for our own lunchtime and after-school activities, please read the 'Booked Activities information sheet' below and complete the online booking form for relevant free activities, or the individual booking link for paid for clubs. We are extremely grateful to all the staff members who generously give their time to run our free clubs.

Please note places are limited for some activities, as indicated on the 'Booked Activities information sheet' and will be allocated in order of forms received. Paper copies are available from the school office.

Please also see our Sports section.

    Art Club

Mrs Morrell's Years 1 & 2 Art Club is a lovely creative space where children can enjoy drawing, painting, and exploring their imaginations. Held on a Wednesday lunchtime, the club gives pupils the chance to express themselves, try new techniques, and have fun making art with friends.

    Bible Explorers

Bible Explorers is about exploring faith and the bible together; discussion, games, crafts and friendship for Years 4/5/6 on a Tuesday lunchtime led by Sarah Hobbs, Families and Youth Worker

Pupils of all faiths and denominations are encouraged to join. Sarah will create a safe and open discussion space for all to explore big questions. This will restart in Summer HT2.

    Book Club

Join Miss Walton's Book Club on a Thursday lunchtime for a fun, relaxed time exploring stories together! Children can choose from story time, reading with a partner, quiet independent reading, or book‑themed art. Year 6 helpers support younger readers, making it a warm and welcoming space for everyone to enjoy books and grow in confidence.

    Cookstars

Cookstars classes aim to encourage an interest and enjoyment in food and cooking! Every week children will make something different with inspiration taken from dishes around the world. With a selection of gorgeous sweet and savoury dishes on alternate weeks, there is plenty of opportunity to learn about different ingredients. With such a variety of dishes, children try plenty of different preparation techniques....from icing to dicing they do it all! The classes are centred around fun and enjoyment, but children also learn important practical life skills and healthy eating messages along the way. They aim to empower children to make healthy food choices independently and provide all budding Cook Stars with the basics to stand them in good stead for life. Classes are kept small to offer help and support, but working independently is encouraged, believing that getting 'stuck in' is key to developing confidence in the kitchen. The classes provide everything your child will need – aprons, ingredients, equipment and packaging to take their dish home.

Open to children in Years R-6 on a Monday and Tuesday after school.

On Monday and Wednesday lunchtimes, our Mindfulness Playground is open to all children in Years 2–6 who would like a quieter, more relaxed way to spend their break. This peaceful space offers children the chance to:

    • Bring a book and enjoy  reading
    • Chat with friends
    • Recharge and take a moment for themselves
    • Draw or write in their own notepad
    • Explore their diary planner (full of useful facts and interesting knowledge!)
    • Organise their week ahead
    • Reflect on their day
    • Or simply unwind

It’s a gentle alternative to the busy playground—perfect for those who enjoy a calmer lunchtime.

Everyone is welcome to step in, slow down, and breathe. 🌿

    Playground Games

Our trained Playground Leaders help make lunchtimes active and fun with a range of exciting playground games. Children can enjoy zones such as our skipping zone, hopscotch zone, and beanbag throwing accuracy zone, designed to keep everyone moving and smiling!

With encouragement as our key playground value, our leaders ensure all children feel supported, included and ready to join in the fun.
