Cookstars classes aim to encourage an interest and enjoyment in food and cooking! Every week children will make something different with inspiration taken from dishes around the world. With a selection of gorgeous sweet and savoury dishes on alternate weeks, there is plenty of opportunity to learn about different ingredients. With such a variety of dishes, children try plenty of different preparation techniques....from icing to dicing they do it all! The classes are centred around fun and enjoyment, but children also learn important practical life skills and healthy eating messages along the way. They aim to empower children to make healthy food choices independently and provide all budding Cook Stars with the basics to stand them in good stead for life. Classes are kept small to offer help and support, but working independently is encouraged, believing that getting 'stuck in' is key to developing confidence in the kitchen. The classes provide everything your child will need – aprons, ingredients, equipment and packaging to take their dish home.
Open to children in Years R-6 on a Monday and Tuesday after school.
