Preschool Information
Welcome to Preschool
Since September 2017 our Preschool has been situated in the old building in the adjacent classroom to our Reception class children.
At East Bridgford St Peter's Preschool we understand that children need to feel a sense of security and belonging when they are away from parents/carers. We make certain that every child is made to feel welcome and "will feel happy and safe in an place that provides equal opportunity for all". Children are encouraged to develop self-confidence, creativity, independence and individuality within a secure, healthy and stimulating environment. Our Preschool staff will support every child with a learning experience that is planned from the child's starting point with activities that are challenging yet achievable. We acknowledge and value parents/carers as primary educators and we will work in partnership with you and your family for the benefit of your child.
All staff are fully trained and work under the direction and support of the Foundation Stage Leader at St Peter's C of E Academy. As a "Take Care Preschool" we work in partnership with St Peter's C of E Academy ethos of "Working Together in Achievement", to encourage the children to "Take care of ourselves, each other, the world and with our work". We strive to do this by encouraging children to have a positive attitude and respect for both themselves and other people. Helping them discover not just who they are, but more importantly who they can become in an all inclusive learning and play environment.
Our Preschool offers exceptionally high standards of childcare and education for children aged 3 to school age. We offer quality care by qualified staff that specialise in all areas of childcare development. Children attending the Preschool are encouraged to mix well together and to learn from one another. Good manners, social behaviour, as well as personal hygiene are all incorporated into the daily routine, with the children caring and sharing with each other throughout the day. Safety standards are always maintained both inside and outside the Preschool.
