Welcome! I hope you find this page a useful source of information for your child's school needs. A weekly UKS2 newsletter with updates on will be sent out as frequently as possible and you can also find an e-copy of these lower down this page. Please see details below about homework. If you wish to speak to me, please catch me after school or for a longer chat book an appointment, as before school is a very busy period of time. As always, I look forward to the year ahead with your children!

  • Mon 13th Nov – INSET DAY – children not in school, staff training
  • Tues 14th Nov – Partake Tudor Day Y6 - letter to follow
  • Weds 15th Nov – Partake Tudor Day Y5 – letter to follow
  • Fri 17th Nov – Awful Auntie Day – whole school trip to theatre. FOSP School Disco
  • Thurs 28th Nov – UKS2 Christmas Party at Tom Browns
  • Fri 8th Dec – Y6 DARE Graduation – all parents/carers invited at 2:45pm
  • Tues 12th Dec - KS2 Carol Service (afternoon and evening services, times tbc)
  • Thurs 14th Dec – UKS2 Road Safety Afternoon (follow up visit).
  • Fri 15th Dec – Pantomime Trip to Newark Palace Theatre – whole school.
  • Tues 19th Dec - Christmas Dinner Day
  • Fri 22nd Dec - School finishes for Christmas - Children return Tuesday 9th January 2018

 

Homework Expectations...

Year 5 – All Year 5 children will receive the same homework across both classes. Each week they will usually receive a times table activity, a Maths activity and an English activity which will be appropriate to their Year 5 age group.

 

Year 6 – All Year 6 children will receive the same homework across both classes. Each week they will usually receive a times table activity, a Maths activity and an English activity which will be appropriate to their Year 6 age group.

 

Homework will be handed out each Thursday and returned by the children the following Thursday. Occasionally this may alter, however we will let you know on our UKS2 newsletters. Additionally, there may also be a topic based homework that will be in place of the usual 3 piece homework.

 

General Reminders:

PE is on Wednesday afternoons (outdoor) and Friday mornings (outdoor). Please ensure your child’s outdoor PE kit is in school on these days, labelled with their names. DARE for Y6 on Friday, Y5 will do Choir, and remaining Y5's are Y1 Reading Buddies with Miss Evans' class.
