What is Pupil Premium?Introduced in 2011, the pupil premium is a sum of money given to schools each year by the Government to improve the attainment of disadvantaged children.
Do you qualify?
You can register your child for Free School Meals if you get any of these benefits:
Universal credit (provided you have a net income of £7400 or less)
Income support
Income-based jobseekers’ allowance
Income-related employment and support allowance
Support under Part IV of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
The guaranteed element of state pension credit
Child tax credit, provided that you are not also entitled to working tax credit and have an annual gross income of £16,190 or less
Can I apply online?The Department for Education has a free school meals eligibility system to determine eligibility and applications are made through Nottinghamshire County Council. To check if you are eligible, you will need your National Insurance Number or National Asylum Support Service Reference Number, surname and date of birth, along with your child's name and date of birth.
Is there an alternative to applying online?You can fill in a form by hand if you cannot access the online one. Contact the School Office if you require a printed copy or any other help with this.
