    What is Tourette’s Syndrome?

Tourette’s Syndrome is a condition that causes a person to make repeated movements or sounds called tics. These might include blinking, shrugging, making noises or saying words.
Tics are not done on purpose—they happen naturally, and people with Tourette’s cannot easily control them. Some tics are very mild, while others may be more noticeable, and they can change over time.
