KS1 Sum Turnover

A brilliant card game for developing fluency with addition - also, lots of opportunities for strategic thinking! A game that could also easily be adapted for children aged 5-8.

KS1 Connect 4 Addition and Subtraction Games

The Connect 4 games are fantastic for helping children become fluent with addition and subtraction facts within 20. Also, some great opportunities for strategic thinking! You will need dice for this (these could be borrowed from another board game or you could download a virtual dice app).

Tips for the Connect 4 Grids:

  • If you don't have any dice, you could borrow some from a board game or download a virtual dice app on an electronic dice.
  • If you don't have a printer for the Connect 4 grids, you could always open them on an electronic device, and edit them on there. Or, you could redraw them or create your own in your exercise books or on some paper.
