East Bridgford St. Peter’s Out of School Club
Introduction
In 1997 St Peters School, East Bridgford, Nottingham set up an Out of
School Club to provide quality and affordable child care provision for before school, after school and holidays for working and studying
parents and carers. Following government legislation, the school
was no longer able to manage this facility directly. At the beginning
of the year 2000 a committee was set up consisting of parents/carers,
a representative of the school governing body and the head teacher (or their representative) to take over the running of the club. The
structure of the clubs management remains broadly the same today and
the club has gone from strength to strength on this basis.
Aims and Objectives
To provide high quality childcare in a relaxed, safe and friendly
atmosphere, where there is equal provision regardless of gender, race, intellect and physical abilities.
To support working parents/carers and parents/carers into work.
Our Out of school club is registered with and inspected by Ofsted,
and we implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) for children
of five years or younger.
